Area Child and Youth Services Links
- Child
Advocacy 4C Association -
This Association offers child care referrals and checklists, parenting
resources, CPR and first aid training, plus much more to the
Gratiot, Gladwin, Clare and Isabella Counties.
- Circuit
Court Family Division - Juvenile Court - The Juvenile Office monitors
and supervises youth who are on probation through our Court. We provide
services such as substance abuse education, anger management, counseling,
parenting groups, and more depending on the needs of the youth that
we are currently serving.
- Maternal
and Child Health Programs at Mid-Michigan
District Health Department - The health department offers the
following programs specifically for families:
- Children’s
Special Health Care Services provides medical advocacy and
financial assistance for children with qualifying medical conditions.
- Early
On intervention for families with children 0 to 36 months
experiencing developmental delays or who have disabilities
or special needs.
- Family Planning.
- Immunizations
for diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella,
polio, meningitis,
hepatitis, varicella,
flu and pneumonia.
- Maternal and
Infant Support Services, a home-based service provided in a
variety of settings
by a nurse, social worker
and/or nutritionist.
- Maternity Outpatient
Medical Services (M.O.M.S.), application and coordination assistance
for
pregnant women through
age 17 and others who qualify.
- WIC, a nutrition
education program and food coupons for qualified women,
infants
and
children up to
age 5.
